This Is the Day We Stand Present
Op-Ed by Michael T. Ruhlman
Not because the world is calm—
but because it is not.
Today is the day you need something.
And today is the day we meet—
not by accident, not by coincidence, but by appointment.
We meet in a world that is in incredible turmoil.
Fractured. Loud. Distracted.
An economy that presses, a culture that pulls,
a constant drumbeat telling you to wait, to shrink, to survive.
But survival was never the assignment.
You did not wake up today to be overwhelmed.
You woke up because purpose still needs a witness.
When everything feels unstable, clarity becomes currency.
When systems shake, character becomes shelter.
When voices clash, truth speaks without shouting.
Today matters—not because it is easy,
but because it is yours.
You don’t need the whole map.
You need the next faithful step.
You don’t need permission from the chaos.
You need alignment with what you already know is right.
In days like these, momentum doesn’t come from speed—
it comes from decision.
So today, we decide:
- to think clearly when others panic
- to act wisely when others react
- to build quietly while others broadcast fear
Let the world be noisy.
Let the headlines rage.
Let the economy fluctuate.
Still—
we meet here,
we stand now,
and we move forward.
Because the people who shape tomorrow
are never waiting for perfect conditions.
They are answering the call of today.
